ISLAMABAD, October 30, 2026: Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced plans to compensate users affected by a cyberattack, allocating more than $6.34 billion from its own financial resources to cover losses and restore affected assets.

According to a news agency report, the company has initiated a process to return users’ assets and compensate those who suffered financial losses in the cyberattack.

Binance said it would publicly verify customer funds through its Proof of Reserves system, which allows users to check whether the exchange holds assets corresponding to their balances.

The company stated that more than $6.34 billion had been allocated from its financial resources to cover losses, while an additional $5 billion in assets linked to affected tokens was already available.

Binance also reported that approximately $3 billion worth of assets had been frozen with the assistance of cryptocurrency industry partners.

The exchange said it was working with law enforcement agencies to recover the frozen assets and continue the verification process.

Binance clarified that the $6.34 billion allocated for compensation did not include the assets already frozen or secured.

The company said efforts to recover and verify those assets were continuing alongside the compensation process.
