A banana-shaped car caught the attention of highway patrol officers in the US state of Montana after it was spotted on Interstate 90 near the city of Billings.

The unusual vehicle, known as the Big Banana Car, was pulled over during a traffic stop and later became a talking point on social media after Montana Highway Patrol shared a photo of the roadside encounter.

According to police, officers have dealt with speeding drivers, distracted motorists and unusual vehicles before, but the banana-shaped car stood out as one of the more memorable stops.

The photo showed the bright yellow vehicle parked on the side of the highway, drawing online attention because of its distinctive design.

Authorities did not report any serious incident linked to the stop. The post mainly highlighted the unusual nature of the vehicle and the light-hearted reaction it received from social media users.

The Big Banana Car has previously attracted attention in the United States because of its oversized fruit-shaped design and appearances on public roads.
