LAHORE: Pakistan cricket captain Babar Azam met Australia’s leading power-hitting coach Shannon Young on Thursday. Azam and Young, who were in Pakistan on a personal visit, met at a local cricket club in Lahore.
During the meeting, Azam only talked to Young about the power of hitting.
It should be noted that the new Australian opener Jake Fraser-McGurk gives all the credit for his batting to Young’s strength.
Earlier today, Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that the former cricketer will decide Azam’s future as the white-ball captain of the national team.
However, Naqvi did not say who the former cricketer was.
“There is no decision on Babar Azam,” said a senior cricket official acting as home minister in Lahore.
Naqvi also said that the former cricketer had shared a detailed report on the flaws in Pakistan cricket without naming any of them.
Pakistan failed to qualify for the Super 8 round of the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2024 after losing to India and USA.
“People ask about surgery, but you shouldn’t make decisions when you’re upset. “Bad decisions can often be disastrous.”
