MARDAN: The College of Veterinary Sciences (CVS) at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Health at Wuhan Textile University to enhance academic and research cooperation.

The MoU signing ceremony was held at AWKUM and was formally signed by Sher Bahadar Khan, Principal of the College of Veterinary Sciences, and Wajid Hussain from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Health (SOBH), Wuhan Textile University.

The event was witnessed by AWKUM Vice Chancellor Jamil Ahmad and Director ORIC Tariq Mehmood. Professor Zhaowei Zhang, Dean of SOBH, and Director Ji Chen from International Affairs also extended support to the initiative.

According to officials, the agreement aims to promote joint research initiatives, faculty and student exchange programmes, and collaborative projects in biomedical engineering, animal health and emerging One Health domains.

The partnership is expected to strengthen international academic engagement and create new opportunities for innovation and knowledge sharing between the two institutions.
