Australian High Commissioner Timothy Kane Highlights Education-Sports Balance for Pakistani Youth

KARACHI: Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Timothy Kane has stressed the importance of combining education with healthy sporting activities to support the physical, mental and overall development of young people.

Kane made the remarks during a meeting with Rais Khan, founder and president of RK Sports Management, in Karachi. The two discussed grassroots sports development, opportunities for young athletes and ways to encourage greater participation in sporting activities.

RK Sports Management Briefs High Commissioner on Initiatives

Rais Khan briefed the Australian High Commissioner on the activities of RK Sports Management, saying the organisation works at the grassroots level to encourage young people to participate in sports, identify emerging talent and support athletes in developing their abilities.

The organisation also conducts sports programmes and tournaments aimed at providing young players with opportunities to compete and progress in their respective fields.

Khan also shared the organisation’s future plans and initiatives to expand access to sporting opportunities for young people at the grassroots level.

Timothy Kane appreciated the activities being undertaken by RK Sports Management and highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for young people to remain engaged in healthy and constructive activities.

He said sports can contribute to the physical and mental development of young people and help create a healthy and positive environment in society.

Kane also emphasised that education should progress alongside sports, with young people given opportunities to develop in both areas.
