ATTOCK: Wheat flour remains widely available across Attock district at official rates, with the district administration saying uninterrupted supplies have been maintained in both urban centres and remote villages to prevent shortages and ensure consumer access.
District Food Controller (DFC) Shams Abbas said the availability of affordable, quality flour remains a top priority. He said the Food Department, under the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Deputy Commissioner Attock Mudassar Ahmad Shah, has taken measures to maintain a smooth supply chain and discourage artificial shortages.
Daily Flour Distribution Across the District
According to the DFC, flour is supplied daily to Attock city, all five tehsils, and dozens of remote villages, ensuring adequate stock levels at grocery stores and local markets.
He said the continued distribution has helped keep flour readily available for consumers throughout the district.
Residents Report No Shortages
Residents said there has been no shortage of wheat flour this year, noting that many households also have access to locally harvested wheat, which has reduced overall market demand.
Several consumers said they did not face the long queues experienced in previous years and described the quality of government-supplied flour as satisfactory. They also noted that regular deliveries to remote villages have improved access.
Others credited the district administration’s planning and the Food Department’s efforts for maintaining consistent supplies and quality standards, adding that the stable availability of flour has eased concerns for consumers across the district.
