ISLAMABAD: Independent Senator Faisal Vawda has claimed that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is personally involved in efforts linked to a possible peace agreement, saying the army chief is playing a major role beyond Pakistan’s borders for global peace.
In a statement posted on X, formerly Twitter, Vawda wrote that Field Marshal Asim Munir had not only “paved the way for complex negotiations” but was also “drafting the possible peace agreement with his own hands.”
Vawda praised the army chief’s role in regional and international affairs, saying, “Field Marshal Asim Munir defeated India badly in the war and, after Pakistan, did not remain limited only to the region but is playing a tremendous role internationally for the peace of the whole world.”
The senator further claimed that major diplomatic developments could take place in Pakistan in the coming days or weeks.
“Hopefully, in a few days or weeks, history will be written in Pakistan with major world leaders for the peace of the world, which no one would have imagined,” Vawda said.
He added that Pakistan and the field marshal were becoming increasingly visible in the emerging world order.
“Whatever the world’s analyses and claims may be, all will be proven wrong, God willing,” he wrote, adding that Field Marshal Asim Munir would “write history in Pakistan’s capital.”
There was no immediate official statement from the military on Vawda’s remarks. The comments reflect the senator’s own claims and political assessment shared through his verified social media account.
