Organised under the auspices of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF), the continental championship will feature six men’s teams comprising 24 players and five women’s teams comprising 20 players. The tournament will conclude on November 7, with the finals scheduled for the closing day.

According to a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) press release issued on Monday, the championship will involve 36 foreign players, 12 foreign officials and 10 technical delegates and referees.

The event is expected to attract senior officials of the Pakistan Squash Federation, representatives of participating countries, players, coaches and squash enthusiasts.

Pakistan Air Force, which has played a longstanding role in promoting squash and developing sporting infrastructure in the country, is supporting efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s position in international squash.

Under the patronage of the Chief of the Air Staff, initiatives are being undertaken to develop emerging talent, strengthen grassroots programmes and provide young players with greater international exposure.

The PAF said these efforts were aimed at reviving Pakistan’s historic standing in squash through talent identification, improved training opportunities and participation in international competitions.

The championship will provide players from participating Asian countries an opportunity to compete at the continental level and gain valuable international experience.

Hosting the tournament in Islamabad also reflects efforts to promote international sporting cooperation and strengthen Pakistan’s role in regional squash competitions.

The five-day championship will conclude on Saturday, November 7, following the final matches in the men’s and women’s team events.
