Pakistani actor Arsalan Butt has spoken publicly about the harassment allegations previously made against him by actress Mamia Shah Jaffar, saying such accusations can have a serious impact on a person’s career and reputation.
Speaking on Fariha Farrukh’s podcast, Arsalan Butt said he is treating the matter seriously and has chosen to address it through legal channels. His remarks come months after Mamia Shah Jaffar publicly accused him of harassment and inappropriate behavior before later withdrawing the allegations.
Arsalan Butt Says He Chose the Legal Route
During the interview, Arsalan Butt said allegations of this nature can have long-lasting professional consequences.
“Such allegations can end someone’s career,” he said, adding that he has worked with prominent figures in Pakistan and internationally and that no one had previously questioned his conduct.
The actor also said colleagues and friends have consistently spoken positively about his professional behavior.
Actor Rules Out Public Confrontation
Arsalan Butt said he intends to resolve the matter through legal means rather than engaging in a public dispute.
“I have many ways to respond, but I have chosen only the legal route,” he said, adding that he plans to deal with the issue patiently and in accordance with the law.
Background of the Case
Mamia Shah Jaffar had accused Arsalan Butt of harassment and inappropriate conduct several months ago through social media. She later withdrew those allegations.
Neither party has publicly announced any new legal proceedings or further developments beyond Arsalan Butt’s latest comments.
