ABU DHABI: Indian singer Arijit Singh has earned praise from fans after speaking positively about Pakistani artists Atif Aslam and Shafqat Amanat Ali during a recent live concert in Abu Dhabi.
During the performance, Arijit Singh sang Atif Aslam’s popular track Pehli Nazar Mein and asked audience members whether Pakistani songs were still banned in India. The singer said he does not closely follow news developments and wanted to understand the current situation.
According to videos circulating on social media, Singh reacted with visible disappointment after hearing responses from the crowd before expressing his admiration for the Pakistani singers.
“Atif Aslam is one of my favourite singers, and so is Shafqat Amanat Ali,” Singh told the audience.
