A Karachi court acquitted Anmol alias Pinky in three drug-related cases registered at Guzri Police Station between 2020 and 2022.

KARACHI: A Karachi court has acquitted Anmol alias Pinky, who had been arrested in drug-related cases, in three cases registered against her at Guzri Police Station.

The cases were heard by the Additional District and Sessions Court South, where Anmol’s lawyer argued that two co-accused had already been acquitted in the cases.

According to the defence, co-accused Ali and Fahmida were acquitted in 2024. The lawyer argued that Anmol had been implicated in the cases largely on the basis of statements made by the co-accused.

The defence further maintained that with the co-accused already acquitted, there was insufficient basis for convicting Anmol in the cases.

After hearing the arguments, the court acquitted Anmol alias Pinky in three cases registered at Guzri Police Station in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

The latest ruling relates specifically to the three cases heard by the court. Earlier in May, Garden Police in Karachi had reportedly arrested a woman in connection with alleged drug trafficking.
