Angelina Jolie has once again drawn attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza by sharing satellite images showing the scale of destruction across the Palestinian territory.

The Hollywood actress shared before-and-after images from Google Earth on Instagram, highlighting extensive destruction in areas including Rafah, Khan Younis and Gaza City.

Jolie wrote that Google Earth now allows people to see the extent of what has happened in Gaza, with entire neighbourhoods reduced to rubble and homes, schools, universities, hospitals and essential infrastructure damaged.

Referencing United Nations figures, Jolie said that 82% of Gaza’s buildings had been damaged by June.

She added that while satellite imagery can show the physical scale of destruction, it cannot convey the suffering experienced by affected families and survivors.

Jolie has previously spoken publicly about humanitarian issues and the plight of Palestinians, and her latest post has once again drawn significant attention on social media.
