Akshay Kumar fans will have to wait a little longer to see him in the much awaited comedy film Welcome to the Jungle. Originally scheduled for 2024, the film’s release has been pushed back to 2025.
The delay was reported due to ongoing production. The film still requires multiple shooting schedules, making the Christmas 2024 deadline impossible to meet. This release date change will avoid a box office clash with Aamir Khan’s Sitare Zameen Par and Hollywood’s Mufasa: The Lion King slated for December 2024.
Earlier reports indicated that producer Firoz A Nadiadwala was aiming to release Welcome to the Jungle during the busy Christmas weekend, which reflects the release strategy of his first film Welcome in 2007. However, according to the latest update, the production deadline required a change of plan.
Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Adadaw, Tushar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharib Hashmi Zakir Hussain, Ashashpal Sharma, Ravena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Eline Fernandes and Disha Patani. Sanjay Dutt was also a part of the film but now he is down.
On a similar note, Aamir Khan recently finished shooting for Sitare Zameen Par. A video of Aamir Khan spending quality time with the cast and crew of the film has gone viral on social media. The actor was seen sharing a conversation in the video. Another photo shows the film rack, confirming the shoot.
