Abbottabad expressed reservations over the construction of a 24-kilometer road from blacktop to concrete for five union councils adjacent to T gohandiani to promote tourism, and it was also announced to approach the accountability court against alleged mega corruption. In this regard, Javed Qureshi, a prominent social figure of the area and former leader of the Tehreek-e-Insaf, while talking to the media at the Abbottabad Press Club, said that Thandiani Road is being converted into a well of death. There is snow in the area adjacent to Thandiani for more than five months. How will vehicles be parked after converting this road into concrete? Bodies are being picked up from accidents here every day. Who will be responsible for this? He said that in two years, the estimate of this project has been increased from two and a half billion to six and a half billion. Which has been approved by the cabinet. He has further revealed that elected members of the assembly, including Murtaza Javed Abbasi, are being made into wet cats in front of the contractor of the project. Up to 500,000 people adjacent to this road will be affected. Javed Qureshi further said that projects worth 27 billion have been started in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the support of the World Bank. In which a huge fund was given for the Abbottabad Thandiani Road, which is now allegedly being investigated for corruption worth 3.5 billion. Javed Qureshi said that tourism roads are not made of concrete anywhere. The examples of Malam Jabba, Swat, Nathia Gali, Naran Kaghan are in front of us, the roads there are blacktop. Thandiani Road has been blacktop for 35 years. Now under which testing report was it changed from blacktop to concrete. He has alleged that all the PML-N and PTI people together are allegedly committing corruption in this project. Addressing Member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Ali Asghar Khan, Provincial Minister Nazir Ahmed Abbasi, and PML-N Provincial General Secretary Murtaza Javed Abbasi, he demanded immediate notice of this serious situation. He has also announced to struggle in an organized manner at the regional level and go to the accountability court for the transparency of the project.
