District Health Officer (DHO) Lower Dir, Dr. Muhammad Nisar Tarkalani, has stated that the polio campaign in Lower Dir is successfully ongoing and will continue until February 8.While briefing the media, he mentioned that the polio campaign, which started on February 3 across 41 union councils of Lower Dir, will continue until February 8. During this period, polio drops will be administered to 352,570 children under the age of five. For this purpose, 1,442 teams have been formed, while 317 area in-charges have been appointed. Additionally, polio teams are also present at NADRA offices and general bus stands to administer polio drops to children.He emphasized that he is personally overseeing the polio campaign. DHO Dr. Muhammad Nisar Tarkalani further stated that there is no shortage of medicines at the BHUs, Tehsil Headquarters Hospitals, and RHCs in Lower Dir. All medicines, including those for emergencies and anti-rabies vaccines, are available in sufficient quantities.He assured that if anyone faces any issues regarding medicines or medical facilities at the mentioned hospitals, they can contact him directly.
