According to Rescue Emergency Officer Sanaullah Khan, Rescue 1122 provided services in a total of 542 emergencies last month. During various emergencies, rescue facilities were provided to 503 injured individuals and patients. In January, Lower Dir facilitated victims of 35 road traffic accidents. Additionally, there were 219 medical emergencies, 1 case of a fight, and 32 fire incidents. Services were also provided in 19 recovery and other incidents.
Under the ambulance referral service, 236 patients referred by doctors were transported to various hospitals within and outside the district under the supervision of trained Rescue 1122 staff. The Rescue 1122 control room received 4,522 calls in January, many of which were unnecessary or fake.
Following the directives of Director General Dr. Muhammad Ayaz Khan, District Emergency Officer Sanaullah supervised various safety initiatives across the district. To reduce the rate of accidents, practical training in fire safety and life-saving techniques was provided at different schools, colleges, universities, and community levels.
