Gujar khan : Gujarkhan Union of Journalists Elections 2025: Ahmed Nawaz Khokhar will be elected as President, Syed Munawar Naqvi as General Secretary and Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq Senior Vice President. Other office bearers include Chairman Syed Mukhtar Kazmi, Vice Chairman Khalid Mahmood Qureshi, Vice Presidents Naveed Afsar Raja, Malik Iftikhar Ahmed, Malik Rashid Mahmood, Chaudhry Mazhar, Additional Secretary Abdul Majeed Qureshi, Joint Secretary Moeed Raja, Finance Secretary Shahzad Sabtain, Information Secretary Faraz Khan, Secretary Social Media Zafaran Qureshi, Coordinator Social Media Asim Khan, Office Secretary Shafiq Naz, Legal Advisor M. Kaleemullah Bhatti Advocate, Official Photographer Faisal Mahmood, Zafaran Qureshi, Vice President and a Raja Muhammad Ishaq has been appointed as the coordinator from Daulatala Press Club, Muhammad Ashfaq Anjum as the vice president and Muhammad Ashfaq Anjum as the coordinator, Sajid Naqvi as the vice president and Kamran Qureshi as the coordinator from Mandara Press Club, Mamraz Sheikh as the vice president, Taimur Bobby as the coordinator from Bewal Press Club, Dr. Shoaib as the vice president and Agha Kaleem as the coordinator from Islampura Jabr, and Azram Khayyam as the vice president from Gujar Khan, while Qamar Shahzad has been appointed as the coordinator. Dr. Atiq Farhad, President of the Pothohar Union of Journalists, renowned journalist Professor Hameed Asghar and Shahid Jafri, Manager of Super Lake Paint participated in the election process as observers. The executive members of the organization include Raja Haji Ahmed, Rana Abrar Qasim Ali Qasim, Mirza Mubashir, Qamar Shahzad, Kashif Noshahi, Shahid Jafri, Raja Hassan Akhtar, Malik Shahzeb, Shamshad Begum, Shabbir Khokhar and Mehryar Ahmed. On this occasion, founding president G.U.J. Ahmed Nawaz Khokhar said that all possible steps will be taken for the welfare and well-being of journalists and for solving the problems they are facing. Our past traditions are a witness that we have always worked for the cause of journalism. All journalists will continue to fulfill their professional responsibilities with sincerity. Propagating truth and honesty is our mission and our goal is to remove obstacles in this path. All journalists from across the tehsil are respected and prioritized by us, regardless of their affiliation with any journalistic organization. A true journalist is the eyes and ears of the society and this organization stands by this journalist. After the election process was completed, Super Lake Paint and GUJ presented shields to 23 journalists for their journalistic services. On this occasion, all journalists paid tribute to President GUJ Ahmed Nawaz Khokhar in wonderful words for his leadership skills and the organization’s past services to journalists.
