Inspector General, National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP), Riffat Mukhtar Raja, paid an official visit to the NHMP Training College in Sheikhupura. During his visit, he emphasized the timely completion of ongoing projects related to training activities and infrastructure development. He highlighted that training is a key factor in the success of any institution, stating that providing physical, mental, and ethical training to officers not only enhances their character but also reflects positively in field performance. He described the training college as a “nursery” where officers are groomed to take up their responsibilities across the country’s national highways. He further stated that the goal of NHMP’s comprehensive training program is to ensure effective enforcement of highway laws, promote road safety, and uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. The IG inspected various development projects within the college and expressed satisfaction with the progress. He stressed the importance of further enhancing the professional capabilities of officers to meet the challenges of modern highway policing. Commandant Training College, DIG Saad Akhtar Bharwana, briefed the IG on the training process and the ongoing developmental initiatives. On his arrival, the IG was accorded a ceremonial guard of honor. Later on he chaired a high-level meeting to review professional matters and the progress of development projects, reaffirming NHMP’s commitment to excellence in training and service delivery. He also paid tribute to the martyrs and laid wreaths.
