Pakistani actress Salma Zafar Asim recently revealed that she gave her husband, Asim, permission for a second marriage rather than allowing extramarital affairs.
In a candid conversation on a private podcast, Salma discussed her personal and professional life, sharing several untold stories.
Salma disclosed that she got married before turning 18, receiving her ID card and exam results only after marriage. She shares three children—two daughters and a son—with her husband, who is five years older. She credits her mother-in-law for teaching her how to manage a household, saying, “Whatever I am today is because of her.”
When asked about her husband’s second marriage, Salma explained that she initially struggled for three months upon learning about his relationships with other women. Eventually, after consulting her father-in-law, she decided to support her husband in making his second marriage official.
“I told Asim it’s better to marry than to maintain casual friendships. I even convinced our children,” Salma shared. She recalled explaining to her children, especially her son, that their father needed support to recover from a life-threatening accident. Her son agreed on the condition that she would not cry after the marriage.
Salma also shared how she embraced her stepson as her own. “Now I have not three but four children, and the bond between them is as strong as that of biological siblings,” she said.
