PESHAWAR: Adviser to Chief Minister on Information, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said here on Friday that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has adopted a policy of zero tolerance towards corruption and strict action will be taken against the corrupt and kickback mafia.
Addressing a press conference along with Communications and Works Minister Shakeel Khan at the Press Club here, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said that the concerned ministers and departments would be held accountable in case of any report of financial irregularities or corruption.
He urged people and journalists to expose corruption and financial irregularities so that strict action would be taken against those responsible.
Provincial Communications and Works Minister Shakeel Khan said corruption was unacceptable and the C&W secretary was removed because he was not satisfied with him.
“We are responsible to the people and every minister would submit his performance report to the PTI founder,” he said, adding that the federal government had been asked to transfer the KP chief secretary and a decision in this regard was awaited.
Shakeel Khan said that he recently met the PTI founder in Adaila jail who clearly instructed him to convey his message of zero tolerance to corruption to all.
