NEW YORK: South African bowler Carmi le Roux was seriously injured when he was hit on the head by a ball during a Major League cricket match in the US.
Le Roux was rushed off the pitch for medical treatment and was thankfully conscious afterwards, helping him avoid more serious injury. Despite this, his participation in the rest of the tournament is now uncertain, although the franchise has yet to issue an official statement on his status.
In le Roux’s absence, American all-rounder Corey Anderson stepped in to complete the remaining rotations. The Major League, which began on July 5, is scheduled to conclude with its final game on July 28.
