Peshawar: Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Senior Vice President Sanaullah Khan has said that there is a need to strengthen bilateral trade and economic ties between Pakistan and the Republic of the Philippines.
He said this during a meeting with Philippine Ambassador to Pakistan Maria Agnes M Cervantes who visited SSCI Peshawar on Saturday.
He said there is potential for trade between Pakistan and the Philippines and there is a need for joint initiatives to benefit from each other’s experience.
Speaking at the event, Maria Agnes M. Carvantes urged KP businessmen to visit the Philippines and invest in the country’s potential industries. He said that the prospects for further improvement of Pakistan-Philippines bilateral trade and economic relations are bright. He said that the two countries have trade, cultural and diplomatic relations and mutual cooperation will lead to the development of cooperation in many sectors.
During the meeting, high-ranking staff of the Embassy gave a detailed media briefing that highlighted the importance of the Philippines’ history, potential, trade volume and investment opportunities in key sectors.
