Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chairman Mualana Fazl-ur-Rehman on Wednesday suggested expanding the radius of the peace process for political stability and building an ideological consensus for economic development.
Expressing his concern before the National Assembly during the budget debate, he said that every industry has been taxed in the 2024-25 APBD, which is causing inflation and limiting the purchasing power of the common man.
Fazl said that the government should invest taxpayers’ money for welfare and ensure all facilities such as social facilities, legal rights and economic opportunities. He said it will help boost their confidence in paying taxes in the National Cat.
Fazl said that in the erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), there is still no financial support for the rehabilitation of IDPs whose houses were partially damaged and partially due to military operations.
He said that the government should create real conditions for those living on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border because of the interests of businessmen and their relatives on both sides of the island.
