Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched the ‘Clinics on Wheels’ project on Friday.
Addressing an event in Lahore, CM Maryam said, “The initiative of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz was thwarted by the previous government. It took three months to form a new government.”
Commenting on the “Clinics on Wheels” project, CM Maryam said, “It’s not about the vehicles, it’s about the entire clinic that will be outside the doors of the people.”
He continued, “Vehicles will be available for six days, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in underserved areas. Pregnant women will be provided with full equipment in the ambulance.”
CM Maryam promised to increase the number of doctors and health workers.
We are setting up cardiology centers in eight districts including Mianwali, Sialkot, Jhelum and Layyah.

Earlier, CM Maryam took the decision on Thursday to prevent future incidents like May 9.
Expressing her thoughts on the anniversary of May 9, CM Maryam said, “May 9 is the darkest chapter in the country’s history. Even the enemy could not do what the power seekers did on May 9.”
“People who are trying to weaken the country are being exposed. They [May 9 perpetrators] do not deserve to be forgiven for endangering the country to pursue politics,” said CM Maryam.
