Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Huzaifa Rehman has said that a time will come when people will pursue PhD research on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s governance model.
Speaking on ARY News programme The Reporters, Rehman praised the prime minister’s intelligence, capabilities and work ethic, claiming that bureaucrats also acknowledged his abilities.
He further claimed that former prime minister Imran Khan had mentioned Shehbaz Sharif’s intelligence in private gatherings and was concerned about his entry into parliament.
Rehman Praises Shehbaz Sharif’s Intelligence
Rehman said that in developing societies, intelligent individuals are sometimes misunderstood or considered foolish.
Drawing comparisons with scientists Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton, he argued that people often fail to recognise the contributions of capable individuals during their lifetimes.
He reiterated that Shehbaz Sharif’s governance model would eventually be studied at the highest academic level.
Says No Minister Works As Much As The Prime Minister
Rehman also praised the prime minister’s work ethic, saying that no minister works as much as Shehbaz Sharif.
He said the prime minister works extremely hard and expects a similar level of commitment from cabinet members.
During the programme, Rehman also criticised those accusing Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz of corruption, warning that if such allegations continued, the matter could escalate further. He urged those building a corruption narrative to stop the practice.
The remarks were made during a televised discussion on the prime minister’s leadership and governance.
