Turkiye’s energy minister meets COAS to discuss bilateral cooperation

RAWALPINDI: Turkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters on Tuesday to discuss matters related to bilateral cooperation and regional developments.

Focus on expanding Pak–Turkiye cooperation in energy

According to ISPR, the meeting centred on areas of mutual interest, including efforts to deepen Pak–Turkiye cooperation in the energy sector. Both sides also discussed options for broader strategic collaboration.

Officials exchange views on bilateral ties

The COAS noted the longstanding relationship between the two countries during the meeting. The Turkish minister expressed interest in enhancing cooperation in the energy domain and acknowledged Pakistan’s role in regional stability.
