BALI: Indonesian junior spinner Rohmalia has set a new world record for the best bowling performance in women’s T20I cricket.
He followed up this impressive international performance by taking 7 wickets for no runs against Mongolia in the 5th T20I in Bali to make the occasion even more special.
Rohmalia surpassed the previous record of Dutch seamer Frederik Overdijk, who scored 7 points against France in the T20 World Cup 2021 European qualifier.
Rohmalia is the overall third bowler to take seven wickets in women’s T20I match, behind Overdijk and Argentina’s Alison Stock (3 off 7 against Peru).
Wednesday, Indonesia Open Ni Ni Putu posted 151 thanks to Ayu Nanda Sakharini 61. In reply, Mongolia was played for 24. Rohmalia claimed the wicket with his first delivery and bowled a total of only 3.2 overs. Seven was brave for the Ducks.
