LAHORE: MoU signing ceremony between TEVTA and Pakistan Solar Association was held at TEVTA Secretariat, Lahore. Chairman of TEVTA Brig. The document was signed by Mohammad Sajid Khohar, SI (M) and PSA Chairman Amir Parvez Chaudhry. Before the alliance, TEVTA COO Qurat-ul-Ain Memon gave a briefing and said that the MOU is a two-year plan for cooperation with the Solar Association, which can be extended further. TEVTA will strengthen its relationship with the industry and the union will cooperate fully. The curriculum taught in TEVTA schools will be updated. A training session will be conducted for TEVTA trainers. TEVTA will arrange paid internships for its students. TEVTA laboratories will be upgraded according to industry requirements. Speaking on the occasion, TEVTA Chairman said that TEVTA conducts day related courses in five institutes, which has now been expanded to eight institutes. If our laboratories are modernized in other institutions according to the requirements of the industry, which currently conducts seventy percent of this training, we will expand its scope to more cities and institutions. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has ordered TEVTA to contact the industry directly to conduct courses as per their needs; This deal is part of the series. Solar energy has huge potential in the future and as the largest skill provider in Pakistan, TEVTA will play a key role in providing skilled manpower to this industry. The TEVTA chairman further said that we are establishing two energy centers for reliable energy in Lahore and Texila with KFW German Bank. PSA Chairman Amir Parvez Chaudhry, who was present at the event, said that there is a need for skilled personnel in this field. They appreciated the initiative of TEVTA in this regard. They said that the association would provide full cooperation in this regard. This event was attended by Mr. Akhtar Abbas Bharwana, Mr. Director Amir Aziz, Director General and other officials of TEVTA, Waqas Musa and PSA Ashfaq Ali Khan.
