ISLAMABAD (Imran Ammar – Special Correspondent): The prolonged neglect of Golra Road Islamabad has caused severe hardship for local residents. Deep potholes, broken surfaces, and a failed drainage system have made transportation nearly impossible.
Locals report frequent vehicle breakdowns and daily struggles for pedestrians, patients, students, and elderly citizens. During rainfall, Golra Road Islamabad turns into a swamp of mud and filthy water, blocking access and endangering lives.
In response to mounting public concern, prominent lawyers and social figures met with Malik Zaheer Awan Advocate, Chief Executive of Taj Law Associates, Islamabad. Attendees included Malik Zubair Awan Advocate, Malik Babar Awan Advocate, Malik Zahoor Awan Advocate, Raja Abdul Hafeez Advocate, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar Basra Advocate, Adil Khan Marwat Advocate, and Raza Ali Awan Advocate, along with other residents.
Malik Zaheer Awan stated that the suffering caused by the Golra Road Islamabad is unacceptable. He pledged to raise the issue on every available forum and warned that if authorities continue to ignore the problem, legal action will be taken with support from affected citizens.
He emphasized that Taj Law Associates Islamabad remains committed to public welfare, civic improvement, and access to justice. “The people of Islamabad deserve dignity, and we will not stay silent until they receive their rights,” he affirmed.
