KARACHI: Quetta Gladiators spinner Usman Tariq has been reported for a suspicious bowling action during the ongoing ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), according to sources.
Tariq’s action was reported during yesterday’s match between Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings. Richard Illingworth and Asif Yaqoob were the field referees during the aforementioned match. Tariq has so far taken two wickets in three matches during the ongoing PSL 9.
Notably, Karachi Kings secured a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over Quetta Gladiators at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in PSL 9 Match 22 on Wednesday, ensuring their play-off qualification remains intact.
The Shan Masood-led side, reeling from three consecutive losses, dominated Quetta and restricted them to 118 after opting to bat first and successfully chased down the target in the 16th over.
