LAHORE: Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) officials have said that Punjab will be governed based on the performance of the opposition. SIC nominee for Chief Minister Rana Aftab Ahmad spoke to the media along with party MNA Dr. Nisar Jutt. “How will the process continue as the house is not yet complete,” asked Rana Aftab.
He added that the SIC will also move the court due to the non-delivery of the house. MNA-elect Dr Nisar Jutt said he reached the Punjab Assembly with the party’s nominee for the post of Chief Minister, but security personnel stopped both of them on Mall Road. “You will have to take the opposition on board to run the house smoothly,” said Rana Aftab, adding that they want to do something for the betterment of Punjab. He again demanded that senior party member Mian Aslam Iqbal be allowed to come to the house to participate in the election process.
