Islamabad: The largest insurance provider in Pakistan’s private sector, Jubilee Life Insurance, and the Network of Organizations Working for People with Disabilities (NOWPDP) in Pakistan have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU). In Jubilee Life’s continuous commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness (DEI) throughout its workforce, this strategic relationship represents a major milestone.
Jubilee Life, an equal opportunity employer, is dedicated to a strong DEI strategy and has established concrete goals to encourage a more inclusive and diverse workplace. This agenda places a lot of emphasis on hiring people with disabilities (PWDs) and integrating them into different positions within the company. In line with its DEI objectives, Jubilee Life has designated a number of roles in multiple departments that PWDs will fill in the upcoming year. Since NOWPDP is a well-known disability inclusion initiative and has been instrumental in promoting identification, welfare, education, skill development, and economic empowerment—all of which are included under the purview of Rozgar (Employment)—it is a perfect partner in this regard.
Jubilee Life Insurance’s Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Javed Ahmed, said: “Embracing diversity and inclusion is not just a moral imperative but a business necessity.” Employing people with disabilities not only broadens our pool of talent but also improves our organizational culture and expands our commercial possibilities.”
The CEO of NOWPDP, Mr. Omair Ahmed, said at the signing ceremony his expectations for the relationship, saying: “Jubilee Life’s commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce is demonstrated by our cooperation with them. Together, we want to dismantle obstacles and give people with impairments meaningful work possibilities.”
Jubilee Life is highlighting a common goal of increasing accessible job opportunities and providing a positive work environment for people with disabilities through this cooperation.
