Mr. Alfred Grannas, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Islamabad, Islamic Republic of Pakistan added a special meeting with German alumni here at COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI). Currently, the university offers more than 100 degree programs at seven campuses in Pakistan, with more than 1,100 PhDs, with a student body of more than 34,500, including 360 international students. The university has graduated more than 93,000 students, including 846 Ph.D. CUI is ranked 601-800 in THE World University Rankings 2024, securing the sixth position in Pakistan. Professor Dr. Jamshed Iqbal, T.I., Director, Center for Advanced Drug Research, CUI, who is the key person of CUI German Alumni and introduced the university’s cooperation with Germany, presented the current and past cooperation. He praised Ms. Yasmin for her unwavering support to DAAD.In the meeting, the ambassador saw the transformative effect of quality education on the lives of German alumni.
