Rashid Khan of Afghanistan had a back injury and required surgery. Rashid Khan has informed the administration of Lahore Qalandars of his absence.
The Pakistan Super League event is expected to begin in Lahore on February 13, and Rashid’s absence is a huge setback for the Lahore Qalandars. The Lahore Qalandars will now have to replace Rashid with another spinner.
While speaking with the media, Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana expressed regret for Rashid’s absence.

“It is terrible that we have lost Rashid Khan. He is a well-known figure who has won numerous matches. Nobody can entirely replace Rashid. Rana stated that efforts will be made to replace Rashid with a solid player in the squad.
It is important mentioning that Afghanistan’s head coach, Jonathan Trott, has previously emphasized the team’s cautious stance to Rashid’s injury. Trott underlined the necessity of managing Rashid’s rehabilitation with caution, given his major influence on the team.
