WANA: District Police Officer South Waziristan Lower Farman Ullah has said in a statement on Sunday regarding the recent incident of terrorists in Wana area Daza Ghundai.
He said, on 22nd, unknown terrorists attacked at night and martyred 5 out of 6 laborers working in the under-construction police post at Daza Ghundai, while one labour was injured and managed to save his life.
The DPO said that as soon as the attack was reported, a heavy police force rushed to the spot, after reaching the scene, all the martyrs and one injured laborer were shifted to the District Headquarters hospital Wana.
DPO Farman Ullah said on this occasion the police cordoned off the area and started a search operation, but taking advantage of the darkness of the night and the thick gardens nearby, the Dashtgards managed to escape.
DPO termed this incident as a link of recent terrorist activities in the country, that terrorists cannot demoralize us by targeting such innocent people.
However, he expressed his determination that the terrorists involved in the recent operation will be traced and brought to justice soon.
He further said that people should be satisfied, all security agencies are jointly conducting intelligence-based operations against terrorists which will continue until the end of the last terrorist.
The DPO also said that police and other security agencies have been sacrificing their lives for the peace of the country and they will not hesitate to sacrifice in the future, they will defend the country till the last drop of blood.
