QUETTA: Security forces killed five militants during an operation against Fitna al-Hindustan in Mastung district of Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, security sources said.
According to the sources, the operation was carried out in the Siapush and Killi Gashtri areas of Mastung, where security forces targeted suspected militant positions.
The sources said five militants were killed during the operation, while a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from their possession.
Following the action, security forces launched clearance and search operations in the surrounding areas to trace and eliminate any remaining militants, the sources added.
Security sources said counterterrorism operations in Balochistan would continue with full intensity until militant networks operating in the province are dismantled.
The latest action forms part of ongoing security operations under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 against Fitna al-Hindustan-linked elements in Balochistan.
