SWAT: At least Four police personal, including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI), were injured in a remote-controlled bomb attack on a police van in Buner district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the vehicle was also severely damaged. Police officials confirmed.
According to DSP Totalai Circle Musharraf Khan, the incident took place at that time, when Assistant Sub-Inspector Shahid Zada in-charge Ambela police post and three other personal along with driver Noor Mohammad, constable Iftikhar and constable Altaf were on a routine patrol in the police van when the vehicle was detonated by a roadside bomb at Kankoi area near Chamla College. As a result, the four personnel were injured and the vehicle was also severely damaged. He said that after the incident, police and law enforcement officials reached the spot, while the injured personnel have been shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Dagar for immediate medical assistance.
“ASI Shahidzada has been shifted to Peshawar due to his critical condition””he said.
The police have cordoned off the entire area and started a search operation.
