WAH CANTT: The 3rd UW-POFs Joint Conference on Academic Collaboration with Industrial Organizations (CACIO) was organized by the University of Wah (UW) and Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POFs). The conference aims to bridge the gap between industry and academics by emphasizing research training, career growth, and knowledge expansion.
The Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony was Director General of Production POF. In his talk, he emphasized the importance of Industry-Academia Linkages (IAL) and the critical role that educational institutions can play in tackling Pakistan’s industry concerns. He emphasized the importance of innovative ideas from academic institutions in lowering the budget of major industrial projects, which can lead to the country’s overall prosperity. Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi, Vice Chancellor, University of Wah, emphasized the relevance.
On this occasion, UW and the Wah Nobel Group of Companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding to actively contribute to the objective of active IAL. The conference was attended by dignitaries, distinguished individuals, and representatives from Pakistan’s renowned industrial and academic sectors, including Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POFs), Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT), Heavy Mechanical Complex (HMT), National Centre of Physics (NCP), Air Weapon Complex (AWC), Wah Nobel Private Limited, NUST, GIK Institute, UET Taxila, University of Chakwal (UoC), Stella Technologies, FAST-NUCES, UW, and many others. The conference featured eight keynote speakers who offered thought-provoking presentations. The conference was attended by a varied collection of people, including industrial and academic luminaries and students.
