Twelve members of the same family were hospitalized in Lahore after falling ill from suspected food poisoning in the Kahna area, prompting an investigation into the cause of the incident.
Emergency responders shifted all affected individuals to Lahore General Hospital, where they are receiving treatment. Hospital officials said the exact cause of the illness will be determined after medical test results are completed.
Family Fell Ill After Meal
According to rescue officials, the incident occurred near Kahna when all 12 family members developed sudden health complications shortly after eating.
Rescue teams responded to the emergency call and transported the patients to the hospital for immediate medical care.
Cause Yet to Be Confirmed
Family members told officials they suspect a lizard may have accidentally fallen into the food, causing contamination. However, this has not been confirmed by health authorities.
Hospital administration said all patients are under medical observation and that the cause of the suspected poisoning will only be confirmed after laboratory reports are available.
Police and relevant authorities have taken notice of the incident, and further investigations are underway.
