ISLAMABAD, February 9, 2026 — Zong has partnered with the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MOITT) for Indus AI Week 2026, Pakistan’s national platform focused on the development and adoption of artificial intelligence, as the country seeks to expand the use of AI across public and private sectors.
The collaboration brings together government officials, technology firms, and local and international AI experts in Islamabad to discuss policy, innovation, and practical applications of artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on building scalable and responsible AI systems aligned with national priorities.

Indus AI Week 2026 is being held on February 9 and 10 at the Indus Innovation, Learning and Engagement Arena at the Islamabad Sports Complex. The event aims to position artificial intelligence as a key driver of Pakistan’s digital transformation, workforce development, and economic competitiveness.
Zong showcases AI platforms and digital services
As part of the partnership, Zong is presenting a range of AI-driven platforms, consumer services, and enterprise solutions designed for sectors such as telecommunications, digital services, and cloud computing. These include AI assistants, intelligent network tools, enterprise applications, and digital self-service platforms, highlighting the company’s expansion beyond traditional connectivity services.
The company is also unveiling Z-Smart Hub, which integrates cloud-based services with intelligent digital infrastructure to support secure and scalable digital operations. In addition, Zong is introducing new AI-enabled devices, including smart handsets and wearable technology, aimed at supporting next-generation digital use cases.
Alignment with national digital priorities
Zong said the partnership reflects its role in supporting Pakistan’s broader digital ecosystem by aligning global technological expertise with local needs. The initiative is supported by technology inputs from China Mobile, particularly in areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud services, and data-driven networks.
Speaking on the occasion, Zong Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Huo Junli said artificial intelligence has become central to economic development and competitiveness, and that collaboration between government and industry is essential to building a sustainable AI ecosystem.
Indus AI Week 2026 is being positioned as a recurring national forum to shape AI policy dialogue, encourage innovation, and support Pakistan’s transition toward a higher-value, technology-driven economy.
