LAHORE (Feb 12, 2026): Zindigi, powered by JS Bank, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of the Punjab to digitize the university’s fee payment system through Raast Dynamic QR (DQR).
With this move, Punjab University becomes the first public sector university in Pakistan to adopt Zindigi’s Raast Dynamic QR system. The initiative will enable approximately 49,000 students to pay their fees digitally, reducing reliance on physical transactions and in-person queues.
Seamless digital payments for students
Under the agreement, students will be able to make fee payments using Raast DQR, Pakistan’s instant payment infrastructure developed under the supervision of the State Bank of Pakistan. The system is designed to provide secure, real-time and convenient digital transactions.

Officials said the integration is expected to streamline administrative processes while improving payment transparency and efficiency.
Mr. Atif Ishaque, Chief Business Officer at Zindigi, said the rollout of Raast Dynamic QR at Punjab University will allow thousands of students to make instant and secure digital payments. He described the initiative as part of the company’s broader effort to embed digital finance into institutional operations.
University highlights modernization efforts
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali said digitizing the fee payment system reflects the university’s commitment to modernization and operational efficiency. He added that the transition to Raast QR payments would benefit students and parents by offering secure and convenient payment options.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives from the State Bank of Pakistan – Banking Services Corporation (SBP-BSC), the University of the Punjab, and Zindigi.
Officials said the collaboration aligns with Pakistan’s broader digital transformation goals and supports the expansion of secure, cashless payment systems in the education sector.
