Being a university student, I have experienced that university life is not limited to study, but rather it is an age, when adulthood descends upon a student. Specially, the co-education system has turned the minds of youths toward affection there are some students who learn from this experience to grow while others get stuck in this age, with falling in love towards the opposite gender. For our youths university is second place to propose their sincere affections toward the opposite gender. It is love that awakens the spirit of youths, just after enrolled at universities even some people decide their future engagements as well. As Khalil Gibran loved Selma karamy, she was the first woman, who awakened the spirit of Gibran, similarly at universities in the same way, girls awake the inner most emotions in the hearts of studying young students. Although it is less likely to be far away from those virgins whom our heart loves. Khalil Gibran poignantly warned the youth, uttering these lines Oh! comrade of my youth, I appeal you in the name of those virgins whom your heart is loving, Gibran actually meant that when a younger person falls into the ocean of love, he cannot control his inner most emotions because of fiery glances of love that force a lover to do for her what can not be done. Youth who are studying at universities brought with them many dreams of their parents, ironically the lust for affection towards the opposite gender has been perpetrating obstacles between the sustainable future and the affection. Though, also those younger virgins come for the purpose of study from remote areas, but the affection of love attracts them towards the male and it is a thing that leaves less people untouched.
How a great Poet of his time, Akbar Allahabadi wrote during his adulthood uttering, “Now there is a storm in the ocean of life, may Allah keep the boat of heart during adulthood.” These lines of Akbar contradict among youth at universities, however their hearts have been taken to the younger virgins who are studying together with them, similarly constant rise in the plight and attractiveness of young students toward girls at universities have actually led the life of boat into the deep ocean where the boat has stuck in the ocean of affection and hardly can be back from the sea. Leaving all things far, I’m the testament to it, being a student of university level and experiencing the same environment I myself have fallen in love with a girl belonging to Kashmir. Although, it is a very common propaganda against kashmiri girls that they are disloyal in terms of relationships and they cannot abide by far long, despite knowing all this still, the affection in my heart towards her is increasing day by day rather than decreasing, it is all because of her attractive beauty and brighter soul.
Keeping all the facts in mind, still the struggling soul is taking the youth to those virgins, similarly a British writer clearly wrote, “There is no girl who is beautiful and loyal, someone debated with the writer that what if he found a girl who is more beautiful and also loyal, he replied, if you found the one, and at your next door there will be my home and you will come to tell me that you have found the girl who is beautiful and loyal. Amidst these a few seconds she must be cycling her affairs with another person, so that is their loyalty which is only far to a few seconds approach.” Our youth must make the age of university positive with fostering skills by studying at co-education which will not harm their career. Although, co-education itself is a challenging environment where the opposite genders do not only share their intelligence but also promote skills together. Let’s nurture an environment where we all can be one regardless of genders.
