SWAT: Yousaf Ali Khan has been elected unopposed as President of the Swat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), while Younas Khan and Faraz Ahmed have been elected Senior Vice President and Vice President, respectively.
The SCCI office announced the results after completing scrutiny of nomination papers. According to the chamber, no opposing candidates submitted nominations against the panel.
Founder Group Secures Majority
The development followed the Founder Group’s success in elections for Associate and Corporate members, where 27 candidates from the group were declared successful.
Following the group’s majority, Yousaf Ali Khan submitted his nomination for the presidency, while Younas Khan and Faraz Ahmed filed nominations for Senior Vice President and Vice President.
With no competing nominations received for the three positions, the candidates were declared elected unopposed.
Focus on Traders and Industrialists
The newly elected office-bearers thanked voters and supporters for their efforts during the election process.
They said addressing the concerns of traders and industrialists through the SCCI platform would remain their priority.
Among the key issues they identified is the taxation framework in Malakand Division. The newly elected representatives said they would continue efforts to raise regional business concerns and work on issues affecting the local trade and industrial community.
