Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan has once again expressed support for Mohammad Rizwan, urging the cricketer to follow the legal process in the matter involving the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
Speaking on Geo News’ programme Score, Younis said he stood with Rizwan as a fellow cricketer but stressed the need for caution while discussing the case.
“As cricketers, we cannot consider ourselves bigger than the PCB,” Younis said, according to the programme.
He described the NCCIA as a credible institution and said Rizwan should follow the established process. Younis added that neither he nor other cricketers were acting as lawyers for Rizwan and that they did not have complete information about the case.
Younis also said the matter involving Rizwan arose during an official tour and urged people to exercise restraint until the case reaches a conclusion.
“I also faced a similar situation in the past, and my case continued for four months,” Younis recalled.
His comments come as discussions continue around the case involving Rizwan, with Younis emphasizing that the matter should be allowed to proceed through the relevant official channels.
