An unfortunate incident of alleged suicide has been reported from Jamun, a suburban village of Tehsil Ghazi, where a 22-year-old woman ended her life under unclear circumstances. The deceased was the daughter of the late Mubarak Elahi. According to sources, the young woman reportedly locked herself in a bathroom and took her own life by shooting herself with a pistol. Family members later broke down the door and recovered the body.
The body was initially shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for legal proceedings. However, the family refused both the post-mortem examination and to file any formal police report. Consequently, the body was handed over to the family without further legal action. Following the incident, a somber atmosphere prevails in the area. Community members and social circles have expressed deep concern over the rising mental health pressures facing the youth and emphasized the urgent need for greater awareness and support mechanisms.
