In the provincial capital, a young man shot himself to escape marriage by fabricating a false robbery story.
According to a report by Private Tv, a spokesperson for the DIG Operations stated that the incident occurred in the Sabzazar area of Lahore, where the police were alerted to a robbery in which a person named Ali Haider was injured by a gunshot.
The DIG Operations took notice of the case and instructed an investigative team, led by the SSP Operations, to uncover the truth within 24 hours. The police promptly launched an inquiry and quickly uncovered the real story behind the incident.
Investigations revealed that Ali Haider had staged the entire event himself. In an attempt to avoid pressure from his family regarding marriage, he shot himself and made a false call to the police, claiming that he was injured during a robbery attempt.
Later, when the police took Ali Haider into custody, he confessed, explaining that he had taken this extreme step to avoid his family’s insistence on marriage.
