WSSCM has approved the establishment of a welfare fund for employee benefits

The Board of Directors of Water and Sanitation Services Company Mardan (WSSCM) has approved the establishment of a welfare fund for employee benefits, the opening of an Easypaisa account for customer convenience, and the audited financial statements for the fiscal year 2023–24.

The 76th meeting of the Board of Directors was chaired by Chairman Board of Directors Engr. Adil Nawaz other members Javed Hussain, Mubeena Raziuddin, Regional Municipal Officer Zeeshan Arif, Ishtiaq Ahmed from the Deputy Commissioner’s office, the company’s legal advisors Nayab Alam, Abbas Khan, Budget Officer Qazi Zia-ur-Rehman from Finance Department and Section Officer Azam Khan from the Local Government Department participated through zoom.

The board reviewed the audited financial statements for FY 2023–24 as approved by the Audit Committee. Speaking during the meeting, Chairman Engr. Adil Nawaz emphasized the importance of recovering outstanding dues from consumers to further improve water supply and sanitation services. He expressed satisfaction with the audited financial statement and directed the management to enhance internal controls.
In a key development, the chairman approved the establishment of a welfare account dedicated to the well-being of sanitation workers. The fund will be utilized for medical assistance, scholarships for employees’ children, and support in case of accidents and emergencies.
Chairman Adil Nawaz also announced that his meeting fee would be contributed to the welfare fund and urged company staff to donate a portion of their salaries towards the initiative.

To facilitate consumers, the board directed the concerned section to open an Easypaisa account, enabling consumers to pay their utility bills from home. “We are committed to utilizing all available resources to provide essential services at the doorstep of our citizens,” He added
