MARDAN, Jan 13 — Chairman of the Board of Directors, Water and Sanitation Services Company Mardan (WSSCM), Engineer Adil Nawaz, carried out an early morning surprise inspection of sanitation operations in Union Council Kaskorona. The visit aimed to assess cleanliness standards across the city and ensure the attendance of sanitation workers, supervisors, inspectors, and management staff.
During the inspection, Nawaz observed sanitation activities in local streets and commended the performance of field staff on duty. He also met residents to hear their concerns and suggestions regarding cleanliness. He noted that despite limited resources, WSSCM continues to make round-the-clock efforts to improve sanitation in Mardan, but emphasized that citizen cooperation is vital to achieving lasting results.

The Chairman directed management staff to take immediate steps to strengthen container management, improve drain cleaning, and resolve issues at identified hotspot areas. He urged residents to avoid throwing waste into drains, canals, and stormwater channels to prevent blockages and maintain smooth drainage.
Nawaz further announced that similar surprise visits will be extended to other union councils of Mardan to monitor operations and enhance service delivery. He reiterated that WSSCM remains committed to improving sanitation and drainage services for the city’s residents.
