WSSCM Approves First HR Manual, Reports 20% Revenue Growth in Mardan

Mardan: The Board of Directors (BoD) of Water and Sanitation Services Company Mardan (WSSCM) has approved the company 1st Human Resource Manual. In the meeting, various decisions were also taken for the company sustainability and to increase the revenue. The BoD 70th meeting held under the chairmanship of Chairman BoD Engineer Adil Nawaz while members Javed Hussain, Haroon Rashid, Mubina Raziuddin, CEO Shahid Khan, RMO Zeeshan Arif, and AAC Noman Pervez attended the meeting while Additional Secretary Local Government Noor Wali Khan and Budget Officer Finance Department Qazi Zia ur Rahman participated in the meeting through Zoom. Eight years later, the company’s first HR Manual was approved. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Engineer Adil Nawaz paid tribute to the members of the HR Committee and Management on the making of HR Manual and said that it is praiseworthy to make manual during the short period of three months.
He directed the concerned sections to strengthen their linkages with non -governmental organizations to upgrade the machinery and system. Addressing the meeting, the company’s Chief Executive Officer Shahid Khan said that the expenditure of the company is minimizing day by day while company’s revenue increased by 20 % in the last three months. From October to December, water revenue has been increased by 9 %, in solid waste 35 % and in selling of compost 2387 % revenue increased. He told that the solarization of tube wells is underway and soon all the company’s tube wells will be transferred to solar energy. Similarly, in order to reduce petrol costs, steps are also taken to convert vehicles from petrol to electrical. Along with this contacts with various NGOs have been initiated to upgrade the system and machinery in the tube wells. Shahid Khan said within the limited resources 4400 tons of waste is safely disposed off during last month. 56 Kilometers drains have been cleaned. Engineer Adil Nawaz has said that according to Imran Khan’s vision, steps for the development of Mardan city has been initiated and citizens will feel a change soon. To improve the sanitation situation in the city the company is in touch with the provincial government to release the funds.
He said that an automated system is being introduced in the tube wells which will switch on/off through a mobile phone.
