At the World Bodybuilding Championship organized by the United World Sports and Fitness Federation, a young weightlifter from Sukkur won two gold medals and one silver medal.
According to media reports, Pakistani weightlifter Yusuf Awan, competing independently, participated in the 2024 World Championship held in Thailand, where he earned two gold medals and one silver medal, bringing honor to his country.
Yusuf Awan, from Sukkur, had previously won the Mr. Sindh title in bodybuilding competitions in 2021, followed by a third-place finish at the South Asia Championship. Now, he represented the nation at the World Championship.
Yusuf Awan mentioned that he faced financial difficulties but received strong support from the spokesperson of the Sindh government and the mayor of Sukkur, Arslan Sheikh. He appealed to the government for further support, stating that with their help, he could bring even more glory to Pakistan.
